Betts can provide assistance regarding the purchase of a plaque or headstone and we will then refer you to a highly regarded local monumental mason to carry out the work. Returned Servicemen can have their service memorial plaque free of charge if interred in a NZ services cemetery or a contribution made if in a public or private cemetery. We can also guide you through this process.

Betts supplies and sources a wide range of urns and other items to hold the ashes of your loved one. We can discuss and help guide you with the decision of scattering, keeping or interring the ashes. We can also assist with the scattering if you wish or we can arrange for the ashes to be transported around New Zealand or overseas.

After the ashes are returned to us, we can then help you choose an urn depending on whether you wish to keep, scatter or inter the ashes. We have urns similar to our caskets, made from solid wood or MDF, they can be painted the same as the casket or you can choose from a ceramic or flax urn. An increasingly popular way to memorialise your loved one, is to place a portion of the ashes into a beautiful piece of jewellery. Another choice many families choose is to supply your own urn which we can help transfer the ashes into. There are many options for this final step and it can seem a little daunting, but there is no hurry to make this decision and we can help with any questions you may have.
