Often the way the public find out someone has died is by a death notice in their local newspaper. One of the Betts team can assist you to write a notice for the newspaper and insert it in your chosen papers on the dates you would like. You can write as much or as little as you wish.

Passed away peacefully at Timaru Hospital, 31 December 2016, aged 93 years. Dearly loved wife of ….. Special and cherished mother and mother-in-law of …..Treasured nan of …. Loved sister and sister-in-law of …. Loved by her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to XYZ charity would be appreciated (if you would like people to send flowers, do not include the statement about donations).

Special thanks to the ABC rest home staff who cared for Harry over the past few years. Your support and care has been greatly appreciated (you may wish to thank specific people who have been outstanding in their help to you and your family).

Messages to the Jones family may be left on Harry’s online tribute page at www.heavenaddress.com or mailed C/- PO Box 772, Timaru, 7940 (we recommend for security reasons that residential addresses do not appear in the newspaper. Instead you can use our PO Box number and we will forward mail to you as it arrives).

Harry’s funeral service will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North St, Timaru on Friday 4 January 2017 at 10:00am and will be followed by a private burial.
