Moving to South Canterbury in 1984, I completed my high school years at Timaru Girls High School. The majority of my working life has been in dentistry, however I have had an interest in the funeral industry from the age of 19, knowing it was a profession I wanted to be in eventually.
I started at Betts in 2016 as a Funeral Director and in 2021 shifted into the role of Office Manager. My two adult children, Tim and Hannah and extended family are extremely supportive, as working in this industry can be demanding. The reward for me is when families can get through this often stressful time, feeling supported and go away with fond memories of their loved one’s farewell.
Outside of work, I enjoy a slower pace. I enjoy creating pottery, walking my dogs and new, diverse food experiences.
