Passed away on 18th July 2025 at Strathallan Life Care Timaru surrounded by her loving family, aged 82 after a short illness. Dearly loved wife of the late Ian Shanks and much-loved Mum and Mother-In law to Joanna and Tony, Christine, Nicola and Burnie, Lynette and Bruce,David. Much loved Nana & Nana Cave to all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

A service for Marion will be held at Betts Funeral Services,33 North Street Timaru ,on Wednesday, 23 July at 11:00am followed by a private burial.
