I was born in Waiuku and lived my childhood years in New Plymouth. I moved south to Timaru in 1973 and I have 2 children, Julian and my late daughter Leana. I started at Betts in 1985 joining my brother Richard and father Howard Ireton to manage the office, this coincided with the time my nephew Mitchell was born.
Now I get to work alongside Mitchell and my son Julian. To see Betts continue through our family is quite special to be a part of. I have seen many changes over this time as Richard and now Julian and Mitch continually adapt new ideas to the funeral service. I take pride in making sure every detail is proofed and correct, as every family only has one chance to get it right.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, cooking, crafts and spending time with my family and especially my granddaughters, Mackenzie and Neve.
