STRACHAN, Alexander Freedman (Sandy), Flt Sgt Reg no 4210193 RNZAF WW2. Peacefully at Rannerdale Veterans Rest Home, Christchurch, on Thursday August 31st, 2017, in his 93rd year. Dearly loved husband of the late Effie, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Stephen, Wayne and Sue, Dale (dec) and Jill, loved granddad of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A service for Sandy will be held in Betts Chapel, corner North and Butler Streets, Timaru, on Tuesday September 5th, at 1.30pm, thereafter private cremation.
