Passed away peacefully at his home at Abbeyfield, Palmerston North,  Aged 92 years. Loved husband of the late Yvonne,  Loved father and father-in-law of Judith and Owen Cowie; Diane and Emiel Toorenburg; loved grandad to Lynette; Bruce; Sharon; Jillian; Zaneta; Natasha and their respective partners and a great granddad of Sara; Tayla; Blake; Brock; Ella; Sapphire; Brittany. A  memorial service for John will be held in Betts Chapel, cnr North & Butler Streets, Timaru, on Thursday, April 27th, at 1.30pm.  Messages can be sent to John’s family, c/- P.O. Box 1014, Palmerston North.
